About the company

BSPCB stands for Bihar State Pollution Control Board, this was constituted during the year 1974 under the requirements of the Water Act - prevention and Control of pollution of the year 1974. Representation of the said Act and consequently constitution of this Board was in achievement of Clause one of Article 252 of the Constitution of India. The Water Act of 1974 was made valid in the first case to the complete of twelve states and Union Territories. The State of Bihar was one of the mentioned twelve states.

Since their inception this pollution control board, like any other state boards that has been performing their functions as enumerated under the section 17 of the water act of 1974. The functions that are entrusted by the board includes – planning the programme for control and prevention of pollution in the state of Bihar. To advice the state government of Bihar at all the times in the issues regarding pollution. The dissemination and collection of informations regarding to the pollution control. Participation and conduction of various research and development activities that are related to water pollution. The collaboration with the central board in organising mass awareness and training programmes for grants of consent. To evolve the methods of utilisation of trade effluent and sewage for agriculture and disposal of these waste on land, etc.

Application procedure
