About the Company

 

Center of Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing (CIAB), is the only biotechnological institute in India that works primarily on Secondary Agriculture and the evolution of the value-added products from various types of biosources. It is an autonomous institute under the department of biotechnology, governed by the Govt. of India.

 

One of the main focuses of CIAB is to make the best use of Agri-waste which is mostly being burnt by farmers all over India with the intention of increasing the farmer's income. As a result, it creates efficient grounds to establish many industrial units that can process the Agri-waste, increase farm income, and creation of new employment opportunities, especially for the rural community. Within the span of 5 years, CIAB has been making applaudable contributions in developing many processes to produce useful products from agricultural waste. CIAB has signed an agreement to deliver three technologies to reputed industries. Also, the institute has been developing numerous technologies which are currently in different stages of the ability to scale-up and commercialization.

 

Through its 4 specific R&D programs, CIAB has been working tirelessly to meet its goals. The four programs include, i) value addition to the primary processing wastes/residue for edible products, ii) restraining of crop wastes for specialty chemicals and products, iii) Nutraceuticals, Nutritionals, up-gradation of primary processing bioproducts, iv) Synthetic biology/biosynthetic tech. for industrial enzymes and low volume and high-value products.

 

As a result of invaluable contributions over the years, the researchers and scientists of CIAB have been awarded numerous national and international awards in the respective fields of biotechnology. Also, CIAB has been granted with over 10 patents and over 40 patents filed which are yet to be patent-granted.

If applicants are from Govt. organizations / public sector companies / Govt. institutions, applications should be sent through the proper channel specified in the job advertisement. Submitting NOC (No Objection Certificate) is mandatory for the above-mentioned candidates.

 

Every applicant should be accompanied with self-attested documents of all the required certificates such as age, experience, qualification, caste, etc. Any kind of insufficient/ambiguous/inaccurate information about the candidate's experience/pay structure/qualifications will result in the cancellation of the application.

Selection Process

Once the deadline to accept the applications is crossed, a screening and shortlisting committee will filter the eligible candidates for the next step of the selection process. As per the trend, shortlisting the candidates has been based on the qualification, quality, and nature of relevant experience, etc.

 

Once the filtration is done, shortlisted candidates will be asked to attend the written test/face-to-face interview or both based on the requirement of the role. CIAB prefers higher standards of education, relevant experience as a part of the final selection process among the eligible candidates.

Note:  Almost all of the contractual-based positions will be fulfilled via an online/walk-in interview process.
