About the company:

The full form of FSNL is Ferro Scrap Nigam Limited. It is a Government of India Mini Ratna II and certified company under the Ministry of Steel. This is a wholly owned subsidiary of Metal Scrap Trade Corporation Limited. They have authorized paid up share capital of Rs.32 crores and share capital of Rs.50 crores. FSNL has evolved as a prime organization in the area of steel mill services.

At present, they have eight working steel plants in the country. They are rendering their services to the integrated steel plants like SAIL, RINL Vishakapatnam, NINL Dubuti, BHEL Haridwar and Air India, Mumbai. These steel plants provide services at cheaper prices based on their world-class technology.

Their main work involves the recovery of ferrous scrap and processes ferrous alloys from the residues and debris, which were thought to be waste during the production of iron and steel. Their main purpose is the annual recycling of material worth crores of money, which saves valuable raw materials. Since many years, the company is certified that the use of these iron alloys recovered from scrap saves huge amount of power and natural resources.

The company’s hypothesis is to extend its operational horizon by starting into new areas and expanding their existing business so that they can provide better services to the customers, and also at the same time, to make their institute globally competitive.

Their goal is to achieve ‘meaning from waste’, so they aim to recover the maximum amount of wasted materials in iron and steel production, and also from other construction works.
