The full form of GHC is Gauhati High Court. This is a court that is currently emerged from the high court of Assam. In the year 1947, after India has got its independence, the Assam’s Legislative Assembly has adopted a resolution that a court has to be established for the state of Assam. Their main seat is located of Guwahati, Assam. Apart from their main branch, the high court has 3 outlying branches at Aizawl bench for Mizoram state, Itanagar for Arunachal Pradesh state and Kohima bech for Nagaland state. Their high court in Gauhati has occupied a unique position of being a common high court for seven states of northern east part of India.
The mode of application is online and applications has to be submitted through online in their careers page. The candidates must possess a valid mobile number and email id that are mandatory for registration to start with your application process. Candidates have to keep their email id active and mobile number with them since they would be getting an acknowledgement mail with the registration code. Note down the registration code for future purposes.
So go to their website and log on and then click on the online application option for that particular post you wish to apply. Then provide the required information and then click submit registration. Then an email would be sent from them containing the registration code. Then login with that code and date of birth. Click on update candidate details and fill in all the details and upload all the supporting documents with the format and size they specify in their advertisement. Also upload your signature and photograph as per their specifications. After filling up everything click on ‘submit candidature’ to submit your application. Once you submit your form you would not be able to change any of the information, so make sure the details you entered are correct before you submit it. Finally after submitting your application the candidate has to take a print out of the fee payment challan by clicking on the ‘print fee payment challan form’. Then the payment has to be done from any of the nearest state bank of India branch.
For most of the posts GHC conducts a written test followed by a viva voce or an interview. On the basis of the sum total of marks obtained in those two rounds, the final selection list is prepared. In the case of driver posts there would be an initial screening or a written test, then a driving test and finally an interview. So the job is offered on summing up the performance in all the rounds.
