About the company
ICFRE stands for Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education. Currently, they have their headquarters located at Dehradun. This is a top centre in the national forestry research system that endorses and embark on the need centred forestry research extension.
Their journey started way back to the end of the 19th century with the beginning of technical forestry in our country and the founding of the Forest School in Dehradun during the year 1878. Later during 1906 consequently that the Imperial Forest Research Institute was established by our government for taking forward forestry research in India. Finally in the year 1986 this council of ICFRE was founded as an umbrella administration for handling of forestry related education, research, and extension necessities of the India. In 1991 this ICFRE was acknowledged an independent council under the Ministry of Environment and Forests and registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.
The regional research Institutes of ICFRE are situated at Jodhpur, Ranchi, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Shimla, Jorhat and Jabalpur, and also the centres are located at Allahabad, Agartala, Aizawl, Chhindwara and Visakhapatnam.
The vision of ICFRE is to attain long-term environmental constancy, maintainable growth and economic safety via preservation and scientific management of woodland and forests ecosystems.

The application process for most of the positions is via email and post. There would be application form attached along with the notification.
