About the Centre

MGNREGA stands for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. This is also known as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGS). MGNREGA is Indian legislation enacted during 2005. This centre delivers a legal guarantee for one hundred days of service in each financial year to adult members of any countryside household eager to do public work associated unskilled labour-intensive effort at the statutory slightest pay. Ministry of Rural Development monitors the whole carrying out of this scheme in association with the state government.

Mode of Recruitment

Most of the posts recruited by this centre are contractual in nature and the engagement is initially for a period of one year, which can be extended to further period depending upon the requirement and satisfactory performance by the candidates. The selection of candidates shall be strictly on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2.The list of provisionally selected candidates shall be prepared in the ratio of 1:3 based on merit as per vacancy and shall be published in official website. Similarly, the Final Merit List of selected candidates shall also be published in the same official Website. The recruitment process might change according to the position.
