About the court

The High Court of Judicature at Madras is one among the three High Courts in our country that was established at the Presidency Towns by Letters Patent that was granted by Majesty Queen Victoria, during the year 1862. This court has the highest court in the Tamil Nadu state, that was training Original Jurisdiction in the City of Madras and Appellate Jurisdiction in the entire Tamil Nadu and also astonishing original jurisdiction, civil and criminal, under the letters patent and special original jurisdiction for the concern of summonses under the constitution of India.

The honorable chief justice is the head of the judiciary with supremacies of management of the high court and of the management of righteousness all over the state. The honorable chief honesty is in the custody of the overall policy implemented in the management of justice. The supervision of righteousness in the civil and criminal courts in the regions established under the civil courts act and the code of criminal process correspondingly is approved on by the subsequent classes of legal majors.

Mode of Recruitment

They will select the candidates on the basis of academic record, achievement in co-curricular activities and performance in the oral test. If there are large number of applicants, candidate will be shortlisted for oral test on the basis of academic record and achievement in co-curricular activities. For some positions the selection will be made on the basis of Oral Test or viva voce, which will be conducted in Chennai only. No request for change of venue will be entertained. The date, time and venue for Oral Test will be communicated/intimated to the eligible candidates, in due course.
