The full form of OPTCL is Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited, is one of the major Transmission Utility in the country was amalgamated during the year 2004 under the Companies Act, 1956 as a company that is solely possessed by the state government of Odisha to commence the business of transmission and turning of electricity in their state of Odisha. The registered office of the Company is located at the capital of Bhubaneswar, in the state of Odisha. Their schemes and field units are ranged all over the Odisha. The main vision of this corporation is to be ranked as one among the chief Transmission Utilities in India, transmitting quality, consistent and protected power with minutest transmission loss at an economical price. The main mission of this corporation is the transmission of power in huge quantity with reasonable price as per the hope of customers. The main motto is to rise in transmission network necessity based and to encounter the mandate of the state by the year 2025.

They strive to develop a portfolio of intra-state and some out side the state transmission assets in national market comprising of business growth for removal of power outside the state in association with PGCIL and others.
