RPSC stands for Rajasthan Public Service Commission. This has started in the year 1923 and it has a glorious past of around 70 years. During 1923, the Lee commission had suggested setting up of a central public service commission in India. But they did not convey much thought to the necessity of establishing comparable commissions in provinces. The commission was left largely to the discretion of regional governments to recruit and exercise control over their facilities, as they believed appropriate.

When Rajasthan was formed, the organization of Public Service Commission existed in 3 of the twenty two covenanting states through Jodhpur, Jaipur and Bikaner. Later the successor administration after the fusion of the large states broadcasted an ordinance during the year 1949 founding their state’s Public Service Commission Ajmer that was published in Raj.

The main objectives of RPSC are to conduct written tests or competitive examinations followed by a face to face interview for the selection of various jobs of their state. This commission is administered under the aid of state governor and regulated by chairman of the commission and members of their definite roles. Their roles and responsibilities include making recruitments to civil departmental posts and services. They also conduct interviews, written examinations and screening tests for the same. They also guide the state government on the appropriateness of officers for their appointment on a promotion basis. They also work for relocating the civil service officers from one service to another one. They also head various disciplinary cases under their jurisdiction.

Application Procedure:

Only Indian nationals are qualified to apply for Indian public service commission posts. Interested candidates are advised to go through the notification prudently on their official website.
