Job Description

Responsibilities:

This role will provide front line support to Apple’s backbone network to address a wide variety of business challenges. We look forward to your ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, to multi-task and provide operational support to various businesses within Apple. We seek a collaborative team player, who will work in multi-functional groups and have the ability and willingness to work with others across the globe.
Responsibilities also include working on tickets, break fixes, maintaining and upgrading of existing networks to current standards, sustaining operations as well as contributing to technical and procedural documentations.
The incumbent needs to obsess over minute details and to drive operational excellence in every aspect of their work to deliver the best customer experience possible.
In addition to the required technical networking skills, this role also demands strong interpersonal skills and an individual who enjoys the dynamic nature of Apple’s environment.

Qualifications/ Skills:

Working experience in IP, TCP, OSPF and BGP.
Working experience in MPLS, IS-IS and RSVP is a bonus.
Understanding of peering/transit networks is a bonus.
Solid understanding of wide area networking in a content or service provider, and/or very large-scale enterprise environments.
Hands-on experience with carrier-grade routers and operating systems required.
Proficiency in either Linux, or other variations of UNIX.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, including proven abilities to adapt to dynamic project environments, while able to manage multiple concurrent projects.
In addition, some experience in troubleshooting DWDM optical equipment, with Craft/WebGUI, CLI, TL1 and NMS solutions would be advantageous.
Self-starter, motivated to learn in a dynamic environment and comfortable in a team.
Flexibility to work in Shifts.
Project Management.

Education:

BE / B.Tech in IT or Computer Science is preferred

Additional Requirements:

Flexibility to work in Shifts.
JNCIA/JNCIP certifications preferred.
Hands on expertise with Nokia, Juniper and Arista platforms preferred.
3 to 8 years of Network Operations experience is ideal.
