Content Writer

Job Description

The Content Writer is responsible for developing and implementing a content marketing strategies to support the company’s products. This includes researching, writing, editing, and publishing articles in a variety of formats (written, audio, video) that will attract and retain customers. The Content Writer also manages the company’s social media presence on various platforms and oversees the content creation process. The content writer creates compelling, well-written content that drives user engagement. The content writer will also identify and develop new opportunities for the organization to reach its audience through storytelling.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, write, edit and prepare pieces of content for use on all digital channels
2. Create and maintain an editorial calendar with monthly deadlines to ensure consistent coverage of key topics and events
3. Conduct research to gather information for blog posts, articles, reports, etc.
4. Conduct interviews with appropriate stakeholders (executive leadership, employees) as needed to provide expert commentary on the company’s performance or trends in industry
5. Monitor social media channels for insights into customer needs and preferences that can be incorporated into future content
6. Assist in the design of company collateral/products
7. Create high-quality, entertaining and engaging content to create a positive user experience
8. Write blog posts, articles, and other content to promote ROI
9. Produce high-quality copy in an engaging tone
10. Demonstrate expertise in the company's industry and have a deep understanding of the company's products/services
11. Stay up to date with company news and events
12. Work collaboratively with others in the organisation (e.g., marketing team) on projects including marketing campaigns, video scripts, etc.
