Finance Analyst

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Implement accounting controls and manage their governance
• Compile and analyze financial information for FX, Rates and Credit products, review daily PnL and Balance Sheet controls and work closely with the team to resolve issue, escalate them where needed and be accountable for daily PnL and Balance Sheet production
• Produce PnL Analysis, Income attribution, Risk analysis and certify all financial aggregates.
• Main product controlled are Bonds, T-Bills, Swaps, Futures, Forwards and Options etc.
• Reconcile trade capture system feeds to the general ledger and manage journal entries.
• Provide PnL commentary of mark to market PnL including Market drivers
• Review RSBPL Scallops
• Prepare financial statements and other financial reports for the business and external auditors
• Collaborate on continuous improvement of quality, efficiency and effectiveness of controls
• Comply with requests from internal and external auditors, internal testing teams
• Work closely with finance transformation team to land delivery of planned projects and automation initiatives.
• Month end close of PnL and Balance Sheet, trial balance substantiation including clearing breaks, provide commentary on material P&L moves

Qualification & Skills:

• Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Master’s degree or equivalent in accounting or related field.
• Preferably 2+ years of experience in a similar role focusing on product control, financial reporting and reconciliations within the financial industry or professional services firms.
• know-how to develop a robust set of controls to the financials (cost and revenue) of a global business.
• Analytical and methodical, with great attention to detail.
• Excellent communicator who can adapt style to audience
