Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Should have good knowledge in Smart Metering, HES, MDMS and System Integration in AMI space (Cloud / in-premise)
2. Working Knowledge of Various communication protocols and Metering standards such as IS16444, IS13779, DLMS, IS15959 etc.
3. Deployment & implementation of HES (Head End System) for P2P GPRS Smart Meter Protocol mapping, Data decryption, Security protocols implementation, Device Configuration & Management of Smart meters.
4. Setting up Test & Production environment on Cloud with VLAN & zoning configurations
5. Shall integrate HES with MDMS on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)
6. Develop custom integration adapters or integrate through APIs, as required along with writing queries for custom report generation including performance reports
7. Configure RBAC, Automated Meter Operations, Meter data acquisition/ collection Scheduling, Firmware upgradation, Time Synchronization, Data consistency for Billing Determinants, Task manager, event handling, service order management, etc.
8. Develop / Configure Consumer Indexing format, SIM management, Electrical Asset mapping & Business process / logics
9. Meter key management with all security standards
10. Application security, device access security (DLMS/COSEM), self-diagnostics & audit trail (for policies & data integrity) configurations
11. Configurations of HES functionality as per project need, configuration of Communication Gateway as per the network design in IPv4 & IPv6
12. Review & validate the As-IS and To-Be design documentations furnished by OEM.
13. Responsible all design & test documentation reviews & approval from client (thru project management team)
14. Responsible for deployment, data migration, solution performance, use case prep, commissioning tests till Go-Live
15. Provide training to End user & internal team
16. Understand customer requirements, prepare all the Detailed Engineering documents like System Architecture, EBOM, Solution Write-up, FRS, SRS etc. for relevant technologies & Solutions
17. Co-ordinate with OEM’s for AT/VT and test performance documents and also Technical support during execution of MDMS and integration of all applications

Experience / Exposure

1. Overall 8+ yrs with min. 5+ yrs in AMI domain as Software for HES
2. R-APDRP project experience on AMR & AMI projects (> 100,000 meters per project)
3. UPPCL AMI project experience will be preferred
4. Experience in implementation & Software development experience with Meter manufacturers (L&T, Secure, Landis & Gyr+, Itron, Genus, ITI, Adya etc.) will be preferred
5. Working experience on Genus, ITI & Zen meters
6. HES (Head End System) product deployment life-cycle and hands-on development
7. Working knowledge on DLMS, COSEM, CIM, IS 15959, IS 16444 & IEC 61968 standards
8. MS SQL 2017 & Oracle 9i or higher
9. Experience of working with Government clients and multiple stakeholders is desirable
10. The candidate should have strong orientation towards client engagement and vendor management, make presentations for review meetings
11. Strong Analytical and Articulation skill

Education & Skillset

• BE/BTech in Electrionics and Communication or IT Information Technology,
• The incumbent shall be Certified for HES Design & Deployment by the OEM
• Agile / SCRUM certified will be preferred
• TOGAF certified will be preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills
