Matlab Developer

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Develop engineering applications using MATLAB, VBA and Mathcad.
• Understand legacy programs and develop documentation as required.
• Work with various stakeholders to gather requirements, review feasibility, prepare execution plan and deliver the projects within estimated timeline.
• Follow Software development life cycle process to deliver the projects.
• Prepare work instructions, user manuals or any other documents related to job profile.
• Provide post-production support as required.
• Understand and comply with best coding practices to ensure high quality deliverable.
• Demonstrates high level of initiative to accomplish individual objectives assigned as well as team goals.
• Work towards individual goals aligned with department and organizational objectives.
• Comply to organizational HR policies and procedures.
• Understand and adhere to organizational HSE policies and practices.
• This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.
  NON-ESSENTIAL
• Demonstrate good understanding of Structural Mechanics.
• Develop understanding of relevant DNV standards/codes for steel tube calcs.

Qualifications/ Skills:

• Bachelors in Engineering (preferred in Mechanical Engineering or allied branch) with minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong expertise in Structural Mechanics
• Willingness to learn advanced concepts such as Vector Mechanics
• Language Experience: MATLAB, VBA
• Proven record in documentation with strong interpersonal skills
