Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates technical product development, integrating the work of research and development, manufacturing, marketing, sales and service functions for a product line, Key assignments will include Accelerate Tech Debt Burn down, Ownership FMS CDU Pages ( HMI and Utils)
- Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Exerts influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization for achieving Cost Synergies and Schedule Synergies
- Builds strong working relationships internally with demonstrated ability to forge relationships with counterparts and key stakeholders across the organization, including other Business Units
- Assignments are received in objective-oriented terms. Work is reviewed in terms of meeting objectives and schedules.
- Frequent contacts with internal or external management concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarifications. Skills in understanding and/or influencing people are important in achieving job objectives, facilitating action or understanding in others.
- Accomplishes results through subordinate supervisors/facilitators or exempt employees by establishing objectives, work plans, and delegating assignments.
- Responsible for product roadmaps for future product features/enhancements
- Has the ability to successfully develop and present materials for frequent briefings to Executive leadership.
- Has understanding of systems engineering concepts, decision point processes, and engineering processes
- Assigned key strategic projects including preparing and/or implementing new strategic initiatives
- Ensures that all required resources such as engineering, engineering support, and the like are available for the department’s projects
- Work schedule flexibility to communicate with other time zones and international and domestic travel will be necessary to perform this role
Qualifications/ Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.
- Technical degree and MBA are preferred, but not required, just generally indicative of the type of skills needed for this role
- 4 or more years experience in avionics/aerospace preferred
- Prior experience leading small hardware or software developments, and cross-functional teams is preferred
