Senior Engineer Jobs in Danfoss - Pune

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for the complex design request, product development for engineering team.
• Provide hands-on solutions on multiple Cylinder design variants, provide technical leadership on complex designs involving multiple components & new applications.
• Act as technical product line expert and offer technical expertise to both internal and external customers as required.
• Drive product quality through continuous improvement
• Reduce product complexity & cost through Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VA/VE) activities.
• Maintain Design Guidebook, Calculators and Knowledge Object entries to document key design information.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing partners (marketing, supply chain, procurement, extended R&D) to ensure quality, cost, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop technical expertise through technical training, guidance, and mentoring.
• Drive innovation, contribute business through IP disclosures, patents.
• Knowledge of various design standards ASME, ISO, DIN, ABS, DNV

Skills/ Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 5-7 years of experience in design and development. Master’s degree in design will be an added advantage.
• Proven expertise in mechanical design with demonstrated experience in complex project and product development.
• Technical Capability: Experience in handling Design for Manufacturing & assembly, DVPR, Cost Down.
• Good knowledge about use of various materials, seals, coating processes & GD&T
• Experience in working on product design projects involving FEA, CFD. Should be able to read and interpret results from Simulations.
• Good knowledge of DFSS methodologies and tools. Professional Certifications in DFSS or Design for Reliability will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of hydraulics products & R&D domain will be preferred.
