Job Description

Responsibilities:

Production and Quality Control:

Work closely with on-boarding teams to ensure accounts are accurately setup. Follow up on any pending items “post” account launch, ensuring accuracy and completeness of account and static data in trading and accounting systems, including working with other FTS departments to ensure that accounts are fully setup.
Partners with internal and external stake holders to ensure operational readiness & resolve exceptions relating to new fund launches and settlements data
Review analysts works to ensure data quality and that they follow standard operating procedures and data confidentiality policies
Ensure process checklists are signed off and necessary process audits are performed on time without failure.
Ensure client enquiries are answered and data setups are processed within defined & agreed process SLA’s/deadlines, acts as escalation contact for analysts and clients.
Resolves and escalates any production or client issues
Assist Supervisor with reviewing daily work and addressing and resolving technical and logistical issues as they occur, thereby ensuring the accuracy of the Franklin Templeton systems, including technical quality and timeliness.
Ensure departmental policies and procedures are up to date and signed off
Perform data integrity audits, control procedures and resolve data exceptions
Maintains ongoing communication with custody partners and assist management in participates in custodian performance scoring

Projects support, Risk mitigation and Innovation:

Perform Data Quality Analysis and Interpretation, identify risk areas and recommend solutions.
Work directly with internal/external teams to plan data cleanup activities to improve data quality
Perform root cause analysis on errors, identify trends, produce opportunities to mitigate or reduce operational errors.
Identify workflow/system improvements and work with supervisor and operations teams to enact change.
Work to enhance Straight through Processing for all functions performed.
Drive for solutions by continually seeking ways to reduce risk and streamline processes.
Lead and/or actively participate in various projects in the department; Identify project objective, resources, and barriers, and implement project strategies; Ensure successful and timely project completion.
Supports internal and external audits for team-related tasks (e.g., gathering and providing required documentation for audit requests).
Monitors relevant failed and non-completed trades to ensure resolution; communicates with the internal/external settlement teams

Training and Development (Employee Engagement):

Assist management in assessing the training needs and develop training plans for the team.
Train and develop analysts and provide feedback on staff’s performance to management

Qualifications/ Skills:

Knowledge, Education, And Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business or finance with 3-5+ years of work experience.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

Previous investment industry experience preferred.
Experience in client service, marketing, project management or product development
Experience leading others

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties including Company management and outside business associates

Ability to accurately proofread detailed documents provided by analysts
Fair Knowledge of account types and account structures from Investment management perspective
Fair knowledge of trade life cycle from theoretical & technical perspective
Fair knowledge of OneTIS, Global Max, settlements blotter.

Work on matters with moderate scope and high complexity; ensure solutions are consistent with organizational objectives
Work is generally supervised; follow general guidelines. Escalate non-routine matters to supervisor
Develop solutions to a variety of problems and make decisions on issues that do not have broad risk guidelines or major financial impact. Ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives

Supervisory Responsibility:

Assist supervisor with oversight of a functional group. Perform many supervisory type responsibilities, exclusive of any disciplinary, promotion and/or termination decisions.
Coordinate duties of departmental staff

Ability to motivate assigned staff, hold them accountable, organize workflow, and manage change
