Sourcing Specialist

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Work with Product Line/Group managers on sourcing strategy development and report progress against strategy on monthly basis
• Work with purchasing to establish supply base and execution models that align with sourcing strategies
• Consult and advise application development and support teams in identifying, initiating and managing outsourced projects with IT suppliers
• Work with product teams on assessing strategic value of project and developing Request for Proposal (RFP) and issuance to suppliers via Purchasing
• Coordinate review of all supplier proposals and facilitate supplier selection by the project team
• Coordinate review of Statement of Work (SOW) with Purchasing, OGC and OTC outlining project deliverables, key milestones, acceptance criteria, and payments
• Work with Finance and Purchasing in obtaining financial approvals and releasing purchase order to supplier
• Identify and implement sourcing process improvements and ensure process compliance

Qualifications:

• IT Technical background in application development and support; 2-3 years of experience working in a product team
• Business Analysis and Project Management skills
• Good business acumen
• Strong communication skills - written and verbal
• Customer service mindset and skills
• Ideally worked on projects with outsourced engagements with suppliers
