Job Description

Responsibilities:

Responsible for implementation of product characterization strategy and Implementation of field testing (FT) operations and support services to deliver product pipelines in alignment with global and regional FT strategy.
Execute field testing activities as per aligned trial plan - Trials, Data capture and Data return etc through mechanisation and automation, contributing to efficient data driven advancement decisions. Deliver the highest data quality through the work of the employees in the organization with the use of new technology and processes. Strategically implement new technologies that drive a step-change in Breeding phenotyping, planting and harvesting processes through a partnership with automated engineering, IT, data science, and external vendors.
Utilization of research equipment such as planters, combines and handheld digital devices for note taking. Assist in computer related activities and provide support for testing activities such as operation of shelling systems, seed counters and seed packaging
Responsible for all day-to-day operations of the testing program as well as the general operations of a multi-location testing programs. Support in effective administration of testing responsibility, including temporary/contract employee hiring, development, training, and retention; budget management; and care of assets.
Overnight travel during the planting and harvest season is possible, wherever needed. Several 2-3 days of travel for training and other meetings are likely during the year.
Implementation and ensuring compliance of company/functional polices on Environment, Safety and Health, Quality Management Systems and stewardship across testing locations

Skills/ Qualifications:

MS in Agriculture or related field of study with 2+ years of significant people and project management experience in an agricultural-related research position
Relevant field experience in trialing of agricultural/horticultural crops.
Advanced computer skills and excellent knowledge of software related to data acquisition and analysis.
Very good communication skills for work in a team and ability to lead and drive some collaborative project or initiatives.
