You may connect your Google account to your Jobs9 account in order to make use of certain Jobs9 features such as Gmail Import and Syncing and scheduling with Google Calendar. This is done through OAuth authentication, a secure mechanism which gives Jobs9 access to your Google account data without letting Jobs9 know your password.

In that case, Jobs9 will require access to your Google account and user data for the following purposes:

If you request assistance by a representative of Jobs9, the Jobs9 representative may obtain access to your Jobs9 account for the purposes of resolving your inquiry. Under those circumstances, the Jobs9 representative will assume your role in Jobs9 and view your account as you would when you log in.

Jobs9 reserves the right to assume the role of a user in your account without prior notice in certain situations, for example when it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating a bug or abuse) or when it is necessary to comply with applicable law.

In particular, your data may be accessible to i) Jobs9’s staff in the USA or ii) may be stored by Jobs9’s hosting service provider on servers in the USA as well as in the EU. The USA does not have the same data protection laws as the United Kingdom and the EEA. A Data Processing Agreement has been signed between Jobs9 Software Limited and Jobs9 Technology Limited and their overseas group companies, and between Jobs9 and each of its data processors. These Data Processor Agreements that are designed to help safeguard your privacy rights and give you remedies in the unlikely event of a misuse of your Personal Data. We will hold all the data for so long as we have an obligation to the Customer to provide the Services, and thereafter until such time as we delete the Customer’s account in accordance with our Customer Terms and Conditions.

Transfers of Personal Data

The Services are hosted and operated in the United States (“U.S.”) through Jobs9, Inc. and its service providers, and if you do not reside in the U.S., laws in the U.S. may differ from the laws where you reside. By using the Services, you acknowledge that any Personal Data about you, regardless of whether provided by you or obtained from a third party, is being provided to Jobs9, Inc. in the U.S. and will be hosted on U.S. servers, and you authorize Jobs9 to transfer, store and process your information to and in the U.S., and possibly other countries. You hereby acknowledge and agree with the transfer of your data to the U.S. We rely on the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (“SCCs”) for transfers of data outside of the UK and the European Union, pursuant to the recent decisions of the ECJ and the UK.

Jobs9 Inc. complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries, the UK and Switzerland that have been transferred to the United States pursuant to Privacy Shield. Jobs9 has certified that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles with respect to such data. If there is any conflict between the policies in this privacy policy and data subject rights under the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. With respect to Personal Data that have been received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, Jobs9 Inc. is subject to the regulatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. For clarity Jobs9 does not rely any more on Privacy Shield Framework as a data transfer mechanism outside the EEA and the UK.

Pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, EU, United Kingdom and Swiss individuals have the right to obtain our confirmation of whether we maintain personal information relating to you in the United States. Upon request, we will provide you with access to the personal information that we hold about you. You may also correct, amend, or delete the personal information we hold about you. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data transferred to the United States under Privacy Shield, should direct their query to support@Jobs9.com.
