AIIMS Raipur is one among the other 6 AIIMS healthcare institutes being recognized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, govt of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). Their main aim is to correct regional imbalances in excellence tertiary level healthcare in the nation, and achieving self sufficiency in both the post graduate and graduate medical training and education, so the PMSSY planned to start the 6 new AIIMS like colleges in under privileged regions of the country.

Their main mission is to start a centre of excellence in medical training, education, health care, research and development infused with technical culture, empathy for the sick and commitment to help the under privileged.

Application Procedure:

For most of the posts, the mode of application is through post or courier or by hand. . Interested candidates can visit their official website and go to the vacancies or recruitment page. Go through the notification clearly and check for all the eligibility criteria like nationality restrictions, education qualification expected and the particular stream they are looking for, age limit, relevant work experience, etc. They provide an application form along with their official notification. The candidate has to download the application form, fill it and then enclose self attested photocopies of documents and certificates that talk about qualification, experience, age proof, training, etc. All these have to be enclosed and send to the address they mentioned in the notification. The application form and those supporting documents have to reach them before the deadline. They would not entertain any applications that reach after the deadline.

Selection process:

Most of the vacancies released by them are on a temporary basis, they initially recruit the candidates on a short term or temporary contractual basis and they extend the duration of the job if the performance of the candidate is satisfactory. But they are not permanent posts.

For permanent roles, the recruitment is made through a written test followed by an interview. Initially they release admit cards to all the eligible applicants, the same would be informed through email or they post the list on their website. After successfully clearing the test they would be eligible for the interview.

For temporary positions, the initial screening is done from the received applications and the shortlisting of the candidates is done based on the merit list. Candidates will get placed only if the applicants qualify for all the necessary requirements mentioned in the advertisement. The mode of selection for almost all the posts is through face to face interviews.

For some of the posts, they release notifications for the walk in mode of interviews. In that case, the selection is made based on the performance during the interview.

They recruit for several positions such as private secretary, faculty positions such as assistant and associate professors, professors, guest faculty, etc. Other non-teaching staff such as medico social service officer in different grades, technical assistant, staff nurses, laboratory technician, laboratory attendant, deputy consultant in fields such as IT and telecom, fire safety, etc., medical physicist, child psychologist, clinical psychologist, staff nurses, etc.
