About the organization

CSG stands for Centre for Smart Governance and this is an organization that caters to the needs of Information Technology necessities of Government of Karnataka. They mainly help state government departments in the development of software applications and they also carry out other allied activities. Government Departments, Corporations, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), organizations established under State and Central Acts, autonomous institutions, and all the other Government funded or recognized administrations can avail services of this organization.

Centre for Smart Governance has been started as a non-profit organization under Section 3 of Karnataka Societies Registration Act of the year 1960 during the year 2019.

Their main objective is to carry out actions associated to the software development and related activities for government information technology projects. They also deliver application support services that includes, but are not limited to practical improvement of prevailing applications, technical up gradation of prevailing applications, in addition of new modules and features to current applications, alteration management and other correlated activities.

Centre for Smart Governance works on a no profit and no loss basis and they also obey very strict acquiescence to best practices in the areas of software development. All the projects are hypothesized and accomplished by their in house teams. No work is subcontracted to other dealers in order to make sure that the e governance systems of their state are maintainable in the long run.

Application Procedure and mode of recruitment

Almost all the positions notified by CSG are on contractual basis with a duration of 3 years extendable based on satisfactory performance, unless mentioned otherwise. Decision of CSG authorities shall be final in this regard. Interested candidates shall apply within the date mentioned in the advertisement. Candidates should submit their detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) in PDF or Word document format only, through e-Mail mentioned in their notification. The CV should provide complete details of the candidate such as; name, date of birth, gender, address for communication, mobile number, e-Mail address, qualification, detailed work experience highlighting the roles and responsibilities, current salary, expected salary, notice period etc. They do not accept any late or incomplete applications. The authorities of CSG shall evaluate and shortlist the CVs received and shall call eligible candidates to attend for a face-to-face interview. For some positions, CSG may also conduct a written test and then short list the candidates for interview. The selection of candidates shall be based on their performance in the interview. Decision by them shall be final in this regard. Candidates should bring a photo id card and 2 copies of their CV while coming for the interview. Results of the selection process shall be intimated to the selected candidates through email. The selected candidates have to give their acceptance through mail within the stipulated date for considering them to the position. The job location would be Bangalore.
