The directorate of agriculture, Goa is monitored by the government of Goa. The horticulture, agriculture, and all related activities are being planned, monitored, and executed by this directorate of agriculture. The head office is located at Krishi Bhavan Tonca-Caranzalem in Goa. This directorate functions via the different Taluka levels and so their branches are located in different locations of the state.

Their duties and tasks include scheduling, implementation and observing the agricultural development that has been programmed in agreement to the state and central government policies for agriculture and related topics. They also guide the government in planning agricultural policies. They also, take necessary measures for the well-being of the farmers of their state. They exercise suitable budgetary control for the progressive programs of agriculture and other activities allocated to the directorate of agriculture. They enforce rules and acts that are imposed by the central government and state government from time to time. They strive to execute and take necessary actions as per the decisions and directions of the government as and when assigned to them.

Application Procedure:

The mode of application for all the posts advertised by them is through courier or post. Download and take a printout of the application in the prescribed form that is attached to the notification or given on their official website. That form has to be duly filled, signed, and a passport size photograph has to be attached. This form has to reach their office address before the deadline. The office address and the deadline would be mentioned in their notification. Only eligible candidates fulfilling the criteria mentioned by them has to apply. They do not consider any applications that do not meet their criteria given for that job role. Selection process:

The written test or a skill test would be taken wherever applicable depending on the job designation.
