About the Board

The full form of DSSSB is Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board that comes under the Government of National Capital Territory of New Delhi. On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary year after the Indian Independence, the government of National Capital Territory of Delhi has founded the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board. This board has been amalgamated with the tenacity of employing competent, capable, highly skilled entities by leading professional tests, written tests and personal interviews anywhere as preferred. The main functions of this board is to recommend the suitable candidates for group ‘B’ and group ‘C’ categories of positions for both technical and non-technical positions. This board shall continue to be an attached office of the services department and will comprise of a chairman, two members, a secretary, a controller of examinations and supporting staff. The main duties and responsibilities of the board members and the chairman includes conducting of the written test, interviews, recruiting the suitable candidates in an impartial way. They also perform all the related tasks subjected to the guidelines issued by the government from time to time.

Application Procedure:

For most of the notifications, the mode of application will be online. Go through the notification clearly and check for all the eligibility criteria like nationality restrictions, education qualification expected and the particular stream they are looking for, age limit, relevant work experience, etc. Visit their official website and click on the new registration link. Fill up all the personal information such as email id and mobile number. On submitting those details, the candidate would get an email or an SMS containing the registration number and login password. Login using the same credentials and follow all the instructions mentioned there and fill up the form. Upload all the required documents and then submit the application.

Selection process:

For most of the posts, there would be an online computer test or either an offline test followed by an interview. For the candidates clarifying in this preliminary examination, there would be a written test for RRB level posts. Date, time and venue would be fixed by them and the same would be notified through their email. On qualifying, the test next step would be face to face interview and document verification and for this case, they require original documents. For some contractual jobs they might recruit directly after conducting face to face interview.
