About the company:

The full form of DTC is Delhi Transport Corporation. In May 1948, the Government of India, Ministry of Transport, took over local bus transport services and named it as Delhi Transport Service. They did this after discovering that the services offered by Northern India and Gwalior Ltd. were inadequate. Under the road transport corporation act, 1950, a Delhi road transport authority was constituted. By an Act of Parliament in April 1958, DTC became undertaking of Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

The main objectives of DTC are to provide, promote and secure a reliable, economical, efficient and adequately coordinated system to road transport in the union territory of Delhi and any extended area. It should act on business principles in doing so. To get a high level operational efficiency.  Under the state under section 43 of the motor vehicle act, 1939, they aim not to charge fares not exceeding rules prescribed by them. Application Procedure:

For posts like senior or junior managers, senior or junior engineers, the essential qualification would be a degree in the specified fields like civil, electrical, or mechanical. They are supposed to fill up the form given on their website, along with the advertisement. For conductor posts, the application procedure is the same as drivers. Even for financial advisor cum chief accounts officer posts, the application process is similar to engineer posts; the educational qualifications required are different.

Selection process:

They shortlist the applicants based on the merit list for engineer and manager posts, either directly or call for an interview. Selected candidates will get the final offer letter only after proper document verification. For drivers and conductors, they specify a date on which the applicants are supposed to go for their document verification.
