GKCIET stands for Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering and Technology located at Malda of West Bengal. It is established in the year 2010 by Ministry of Human Resource Development by government of India. This institute is under the guidance of NIT, Durgapur. It is named after the memory of Sri A.B.A. Ghani Khan Choudhary who had contributed hugely for the societal development of their region.

This institute is situated at Malda, from the state of West Bengal and they have their bordering districts as Jharkhand, North Eastern states and Bihar. This college was started with an objective to construct a multi layered inter sectorial and inter disciplinary efficient professional technical manpower to act as a global podium for the transfer and development of technical competence in academics.

GKCIET is devoted to provide organizational expertise, leadership, technical assistance and the other capitals that are necessary to meet the demand. Their institute is located at a distance of 7 kms from the railway station of Malda central and at less than a kilometre distance from 34 No national highway. The institute is enclosed by mango trees and greenery with beautiful landscapes.

Application procedure

For most of the positions released by GKCIET, the eligible candidates should apply on their institute's website – careers page. The application form has to be filled in, documents they mentioned in the advertisement pdf have to be uploaded. They have an application fee for some applications, and the payment has to be made by using online mode. There would not be any offline payment, and the paid fee would not be refunded.

Other documents that have to be uploaded along with the application form are a passport size photo, a proper CV, matriculation certificate, intermediate, graduation and post-graduation certificates and mark lists depending on the post applied, relevant work experience certificates, caste or disability certificates in the format prescribed by the Government of India, if applicable. Mode of recruitment

The mode of recruitment mainly depends on type of position. For some jobs they call for walk-in interviews. There the job is offered based on their performance during the interview.
