About:

The full form of GSSSB is Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board. This commission was established to carry out the tasks that are being allocated to them by the General Admission Department of the Government of Gujarat. The duties of this staff selection commission is mainly is to fill the vacancies by direct recruitment of non-secretariat cadre of class-II. They mainly fill the vacancies of technical and non-technical cadres from class – II of the head of the departments that comes under the state government. They strive to build a compassionate employment to the dependents of the employees, and conducting various departmental tests to all the cadres in different departments that come under the state government. Their objectives include the tasks for filling up the vacancies by conducting oral tests or competitive examinations via direct recruitment of different cadres of non-secretariat coming under the state government. They work to fill up all the vacancies from time to time.

Application Procedure:

The mode of application for all the notifications can be done by both online and offline mode. Before starting with your application, go through the notification clearly and see if you fulfill all the eligibility criteria mentioned by them in their advertisement. If you are eligible for the post, you can login in their website and start your application process for that particular notification. Please fill up all the necessary information asked, upload all the supporting documents and submit them. Please make sure the dimensions, size and format of those documents are as mentioned. Finally, click on the submit option. For some job roles, there would be a minimal application fee (with certain exemptions) which has to be paid while submitting your form. In offline mode of applications, the form has to be filled and other supporting documents has to be couriered to their mentioned address.

Selection process:

The mode of recruitment for most of the posts or jobs released by them are through a preliminary written test, an oral examination followed by an interview. Eligible candidates would have to attend the preliminary test initially. After qualifying the preliminary exam, they would be eligible to attempt the oral test. At last, the candidates clearing the mains exam would be able to attend the interview. The final job offer is based on their performance during the interview. The candidates get the job on successfully clearing the interview and document verification. There would be a full body check-up for some jobs and the offer is given only if the candidate clears in that.
