About the commission
HPSSC stands for Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission. The main head quarters of H.P Staff Selection Commission is located at Hamipur. The government of Himachal Pradesh has established this commission in exercise of the powers that are conferred under the article 162 with the provision of article 309 of the constitution of India. This was established in the year of 1998 during October. This commission has been commended with the charge of making recommendations to all the class – III posts and services. This includes positions that are being recruited by the HP state government on a contractual basis. In addition to all this, this commission also makes recommendations to all the related class – III positions of the state public sector undertakings, corporations, local bodies, boards, universities and many more. They have to recruit for several positions such as steno typist, clerk, computer operator, date operator, junior and senior scale stenographers. All these positions for several departments or various state public sector boards, their undertakings, corporations, local bodies and universities.
This HPSSC has been started with their main purpose as recruiting highly skilled and highly competent individuals through professional tests such as programming, typing, data entry, short hand; and conducting written tests, and also personal interviews as per the suitability and the requirement of the government.
This commission also endeavors to make sure that their recruitment is made mainly on merit basis, in an objective and impartial manner and on time. They are also committed to improve the selection and other recruitment procedures that follow to the higher standards in testing and making sure that the selection happens in a fair manner of the capable, competent and skilled individuals for the user department.
Application Procedure:
Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for the posts notified by any Public Service Commission posts. Interested candidates are advised to go through the official notification carefully on their official website. Check for all the eligibility criteria a candidate has to possess for that particular position. Keep all the points mentioned in their notification verified before starting with your application. Follow the instructions carefully given in their notification. A new user has to do the registration process and keep the login credentials ready. Selection process:
For most of the public service commissions jobs, they generally conduct a preliminary exam, mains exam and an interview to recruit candidates for their commission. Eligible candidates would be notified through their registered email id to appear for the preliminary test. After clearing the preliminary test, those candidates have to attempt the mains exam. Once they clear the mains exam would get an opportunity to attend the face to face interview. The final job offer is based on their cumulative performance in all those rounds. The most deserving candidates would get the job after completing their document verification.
For some contractual positions such as clerks, they recruit directly based on their percentage marks during 10th standard and PUC.
