About the company:

The full form of ICAR is the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. This is an autonomous organization under the care of the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. Earlier it was known as the Imperial Council of Agricultural Research. This organization was established in July 1929; a council registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The headquarters of ICAR is in New Delhi and it has 101 ICAR institutes and 71 agricultural universities all over India. This is one of the largest agricultural systems across the world. ICAR has made a visible impact on nutritional security and national food supply. They achieved this by ushering green revolution and also related developments in agriculture through its research and development that led to the increase in production of food grains by around 6 times, milk by 10 times, fishes by 17 times, horticultural crops by 10 times, etc. This is also playing a major role in promoting excellent higher education in agriculture.

This council is the main body for guiding, managing and co-ordinating research and education in agriculture fields like horticulture, animal sciences, fisheries, etc.,

Application Procedure:

Eligible candidates are requested to fill the Pro-forma given along with the advertisement on their official website. Along with the application form, relevant documents like education qualification certificates, work experience certificates, caste certificate (if applicable) should be submitted through the proper channel to the mentioned address within 15 days from the date of issue of advertisement. For senior and junior research fellowships, they generally conduct a walk in interview, on a specified date, time and location. So candidates do not need to apply and can directly attend the interview. Kindly pay attention to the details like educational qualifications required, GATE or NET qualification, age limit, etc. If you qualify all those desired then only attend the interview. There would be an application form along with a detailed advertisement. Fill that form and carry it with you along with other documents to the interview.

Selection process:

For most technical assistant jobs, they shortlist candidates based on their CV, academic performance and relevant work experience. They can either issue job offer directly or conduct some face to face interview. For junior and senior research fellowships, research assistant jobs, the job is offered based on their performance during the walk-in interview.
