Application Procedure:

Most of the recruitment for roles like Soldiers general duty, Soldier technical, soldier nursing asst, storekeeper technical and Soldier tradesman is done through open recruitment rallies. Rest of the roles are carried out by calling for applications. Applicants must contact nearest Army recruiting office/ HQ Recruiting zone for the details like application process and deadlines. Each role has specific requirements and eligibility criteria which can be seen in their job posting. Minimum qualification is SSC with an age limit of 17 years. For technical roles, a diploma is the minimum qualification required. Candidates are required to carry all the original documents of academics or mark sheet issued by the Recognized Education board. Few certificates are mandatory like Residence certificate, caste, religion, relationship certificate, sports certificates and achievements certificates if any eligible.

Selection process:

For all the categories, physical fitness test is mandatory and will be carried out during the screening process of recruitment to assess the candidates’ physical ability and courage. After shortlisted the candidates from physical fitness test, physical measurement, medical test and written test will be conducted. As a part of physical fitness test, 1.6 km run for endurance, pull ups on beam for strength, 9 feet ditch for courage, zig- zag balance for agility is conducted for the candidates. Cut off criteria is based on the category applied for.
