KSP stands for Karnataka State Police. This is the law enforcement organisation for the state of Karnataka, India. Their department is generally headed by Inspector General of Police and Director General. Karnataka’s police administration in Bengaluru capital is headed by the commissioner of police and with the rank of additional DGP. KSP has seven police ranges and four commissionarates. There are 230 circle offices, 906 police stations, 91 SDPOs and 31 DPOs of Karnataka state. Their police stations are headed by inspectors in cities and towns. KSP is headed by an officer with the rank of Additional Director General of Police, law and order. Their five superintendents of police in the intelligence divisions are located in Mangalore, Mysore, Belagavi, Bangalore and Gulbarga. The crime and technical services wing is headed by the additional director general of police, technical and crime service.
Application Procedure:
To apply for any of the posts released by KSP, interested people has to visit their official website. Search for the official notification of the post and read all the details mentioned there. Check for the eligibility criteria such as basic education qualification candidate has to possess, age limit, specialization in which their degree should be from, number of posts, whether the post is contractual or on a permanent basis – most of the jobs released by them are on a permanent basis, the last date for submitting your application form online, etc. Once you make sure that you fulfill all the eligibility criteria mentioned by them, you can start with your application process. Register on their careers page and click on the ‘apply online’ option to proceed with your application form. Fill up the application form and upload all the necessary documents. Finally, submit your application form after rechecking it once. Once the application is done application fee has to be paid through online mode. Check their notification for clear idea about the payment procedure.
Selection process:
The mode of recruitment depends on the job title and its experience. For most of the posts Karnataka state police organisation people recruit the candidates via a written test followed by an interview. So initially eligible candidates would get admit card to attend the written test. On clearing the exam they would get eligible to give the face to face interview. In some cases they shortlist the candidates directly for face to face interviews. There would be a medical examination for all the selected candidates after the interview. Offer would be given only if the candidates clear that medical examination. For some higher grade posts they will directly offer the job to the candidates based on their previous work experience.
