LMRCL stands for Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation Limited. Lucknow Metro is a fast transportation system helping Lucknow city in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. The building of the line begun during the year 2014 with eight and half kilometers expanse from Transport Nagar to Charbagh Railway Station which started its commercial action since September of 2017. This is the fastest constructed metro rail system in India. Full operation on Red Line stretch from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport metro station to Munshi Pulia metro station started its operation during September of 2019.
Their state’s metro covers an overall distance of 22.87 kilometers with twenty two stations. It is the eighth lengthiest operational metro network in our country after these metros; Noida Metro, Delhi Metro, Hyderabad Metro, Kolkata Metro, Chennai Metro, Namma Metro and Kochi Metro.
This LMRC has hired thirty five customer relation assistants to help commuters, mainly senior citizens in getting tickets. They have also provided free RO drinking water, escalators, toilets, and lifts at all the stations.
The Lucknow metro project is the most costly transport system in the state of UP till date with an estimated total cost for Phase 1A (Red Line) and 1B (Blue Line) of about 2 billion dollars, of which 6,928 crore Indian rupees is being spent on phase 1A. The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation, a half and half joint venture between the state government of UP and the government of our country. This was established to operate and build the metro.
The present phase that is finished is between Munshi Pulia and Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. The time that it takes to go from one point to another point is around 40 Minutes with a maximum fare of sixty rupees.
Application Procedure:
Visit their official website and go to careers page. For most of the jobs, the mode of application is through post or courier. There would be an application form along with their official notification. The candidate has to download the application form, fill it and then enclose self attested photocopies of documents and certificates that talk about qualification, experience, age proof, training, etc. All these have to be enclosed and send to the address they mentioned in the notification. The application form and those supporting documents have to reach them before the deadline. They would not entertain any applications that reach after the deadline.
Selection process:
Once the application deadline is closed, they do the initial screening from the received applications, the shortlisting of the candidates is done based on the merit list. Candidates will get placed only if the applicants qualify all the necessary requirements mentioned in the advertisement. The mode of selection for almost all the posts is through face to face interviews. Verify if the position notified is on a contractual or permanent basis.
