About

This is a Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited. This is a joint venture and equally owned by company of government of Maharashtra and government of India. This metro is responsible for all the metro rail projects that is undergoing in the state of Maharashtra except the Mumbai city are. They have the authority for Pune metro projects and Nagpur metro projects, except lines that will be handled by the PMRDA.

All metro rail projects will be enclosed in the legal outline of the metro railways – construction of works – under the Act, 1978 and the railways act during 1989, and the metro railways act – operation and maintenance, 2002; so they are amended from time to time.

The existing Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRCL) and that is a joint special purpose vehicle of government of Maharashtra and government of India. This has been constituted later into Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited for operation of all metro projects in the Maharashtra state outside the Mumbai city region. This project will benefit from the learnings and experience from other metro rail projects in Bengaluru, Kochi, Delhi, Nagpur, Chennai, etc.

The vision of MAHA Metro is to create an energy efficient metro rail systems with international standards and that can improve the eminence of life of the citizens of Nagpur and be instrumental in the complete progress of the city by making it more attractive and vibrant and also develop the full potential of green energy in the form of wind, solar, etc.

The mission of MAHA Metro to provide an efficient, safe, commuter friendly, affordable, and environmentally sustainable reliable rapid public transport system for the Nagpur metro region.

Application procedure and mode of recruitment

The application process for all the positions advertised by them is offline by courier. There would be an application format given along with their notification. That has to be filled in completely and the signature has to be done. They would also mention a list of self attested photocopies of documents that has to be sent along with the application form.
