About the Company

The full form of MCL is Mahanadi Coalfields Limited. This is one of the main coal producing industry in our country. This comes under one of the eight subsidiary companies of Coal India Limited. This coalfields were carved out of south eastern coalfields limited during the year 1992. Their headquarters is situated at Sambalpur and their coal mines are spread all over Odhisha. They have a total of three underground mines and seven open cast mines. They have two subsidiaries with a private company as a joint venture. Those companies are MNH Shakti Limited and MJSJ Coal Limited.

There are 45 sanctioned mining projects in Mahanadi Coalfields Limited with a capacity of around 190 Mty of coal. They have a total capital outlay of around 45 projects is around 6000 Indian crore rupees. Out of those 45 projects, 26 projects have a total capacity of around 74 Mty and have been completed by April, 2009 with a sanctioned capital investment of 2348 crores. 2 projects out of 28 have been exhausted already.

The vision of MCL is to be one of the leading energy suppliers in the world via best practices form the mines to the market. Their mission is to produce and market the planned quantity of coal products and coal in an efficient manner and economically in an eco-friendly manner with due regard to conservation, safety and quality.

Application Procedure

The mode of application for all the advertisements notified by them is via courier or post. Go to careers page of their official website and read the notification very clearly. Interested candidates should ensure before applying that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria and other requirements prescribed in the notification. Do not process with your application if you do not fulfil any of the eligibility criteria. Management will not be responsible if you enter any of the details are incorrect in your application. The application format is given along with the notification. Download that application form and fill up all the details. Attach your passport size photograph and sign the application form. Make sure your application form reaches their organization before the deadline. Also attach the required and supporting photocopies of documents. All the documents must be self attested by the eligible candidate. All these documents should be enclosed in an envelope and then it has to be sealed and sent to their address.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates according to their notification, would be called for the interview. Verification of all the original documents would be done for all the shortlisted candidates and qualifying candidates after the document verification would be called for personal interview.
