The full form of MNNIT is Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad. This is an institute with total commitment to excellence and quality in academic pursuits. This college was established during the year 1961 as one of the 17 regional engineering colleges of India. Made as a joint enterprise of Government of Uttar Pradesh and Government of India, also this college was also an associated college of University of Allahabad, that was third oldest university of India.

During the period 2000 – 2002, the institute got affiliated to UP Technical University. Later it was transformed into National Institute of Technology and a deemed university with full funding from the government of India. They started offering Bachelor degree programmes in electrical, civil and mechanical engineering in the beginning. This was the first institute in India to start undergraduate programmes in Computer Science and engineering in the year 1976. Later, during 1982 they started undergraduate programmes in production and IT as well as electronics engineering. They started their masters programme with mechanical engineering department during 1966.

Currently the university offers in undergraduate degrees in nine departments and nineteen post graduate departments, and they also have MBA, MCA, M.Sc. and master of social work programmes. They also register students for their doctorate and post doctorate studies.

MNNIT has been recognised by the government of India as one of the premier centers for their quality improvement programme for post graduate and doctorate studies.

During 1972they have initiated a self employment project and then established an industrial estate containing 68 sheds with an aim to encourage entrepreneurs and also to create more employment venues.

Application procedure selection criteria

For non-teaching positions the mode of application is online. The application can be done from the recruitment page of their website. Visit their official page and click on ‘Jobs at MNNIT’ to know about vacancies and to apply online. Interested and eligible candidates can login and fill up the application form and upload all the supporting documents they ask in their notification. They do not accept any applications that are incomplete or if the candidates do not possess any of the eligibility criteria mentioned there.

For teaching positions the application has to be sent via email and also courier the hard copy of application form. The mail has to be sent with application form and other supporting documents. For sending offline application the procedure is same as non-teaching applications. Make sure your application reaches before the deadline.

Selection criteria

They scrutinize the applications received and any partial applications would be rejected. Applicants not eligible for the post will not be considered too. They call the applicants to attend for either written examination or skill test or face to face interview. The mode of selection depends on the designation.
