NACO
About the company:
NACO stands for National Aids Control Organization. This was established in the year 1992. After the detection of the first AIDS case in India the National AIDS committee was constituted in the year 1986. Later as this epidemic spread, they steered the programme and felt the need for a countrywide organization and a programme. So during 1992 country’s first AIDS control programme was started and then NACO was established to conduct this programme. This is a division that comes under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the country. They provide leadership to HIV and AIDS control programme in the country via thirty five different HIV AIDS prevention and control societies. This NACO is the main organization that helps in the formulation of policy and implementation of programs for preventing and control of HIV and AIDS in the country. They conduct several blood donation programs.
The basic services division of NACO provides counseling to HIV patients and they offer testing services for HIV infection. NACO also delivers an essential opportunity to reinforce HIV prevention. They try to identify the people living with the HIV virus as early as possible and then strive for its prevention, treatment and care.
Application Procedure:
Search for NACO official website and go to their careers page. Find the notification you wish to apply for and go through the notification clearly and check for all the eligibility criteria, they mentioned in that advertisement, such as nationality restrictions, essential skills, education qualification required, and the particular stream they are looking for, maximum age limit, relevant work experience and nature of experience, etc. Read the job description and nature of appointment (whether it is a temporary post or a permanent one).
The eligible candidates can appear by writing their detailed curriculum vitae on a white paper, and along with that letter attested photocopies of essential certificates has to be couriered to their postal address. The deadline and the postal address details would be given in their detailed notification. They do not entertain any applications they receive after the deadline. So plan accordingly and courier your application. They also do not accept any incomplete applications.
Selection process:
They generally recruit candidates for several positions through interviews either by walk in interviews or by screening the applied candidates and taking their interview. So they offer the job to the deserving candidates for that particular post based on the candidate’s performance during the interview. The mode of interview for applied jobs can be either online or offline. They do not provide any traveling allowance or dining allowance to the candidates for attending the interview.
Various job types or roles notified by NACO:
NACO releases notifications for several job roles every year. That notifications include positions such as programme officer at India CCM Secretariat, coordinator, consultant, grant program manager, M and E manager, finance manager, assistant program coordinator, etc. Most of these positions are being recruited on a temporary basis for a tenure of one year. If the performance of the candidate is satisfactory the service is extended further.
