About the Company

The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) is one of the renowned Indian research centers specialized within the field of Cell Biology (Biotechnology, Tissue Banking, and Tissue Engineering) with the operating agency being the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Established in 1986 in Pune, Maharashtra, NCCS was formerly known as the “National Facility for Animal Tissue and Cell Culture” to encourage research on cell biology.

Since its commencement, NCCS has been the front-line research institute in cell science, offering assistance as a public creature cell storehouse, and supporting human resource advancement through different training and teaching programs. NCCS has been playing a leading role in essential examination in different fields of cell science, most importantly those inclined to significant human medical problems such as malignant growth, irresistible illnesses, metabolic issues, and regenerative medication. 

The research at NCCS is centered around noting these difficult medical problems through approaches that coordinate present-day and traditional orders including systems biology, cellular signaling, cell biology, proteomics, stem cell biology, immunology, genomics, microbial ecology, and structural biology.

The research and contributions done by the scientists of NCCS have been phenomenal gaining worldwide recognition and awards such as Padma Shree, Swarnajayanti Fellowship, National Bioscience Award, and Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Awards.

Interested candidates can visit the OPENINGS / TENDERS / NOTICES page of NCSS where you can see all the latest posted and available jobs. Each job notification will have a hyperlink embedded through which candidates can download the application form.

All the necessary details to be filled as per the guidelines attached with the application form and all the necessary documents to be added along with the form. Applications received without the required certificates and/or after the due date will not be considered. Proof of experience should be submitted along with an application for all the experienced candidates.

Along with the required certificates, candidates should send their applications to the specific postal address mentioned in the application form.

Selection Process

Once the deadline is crossed for accepting the applications, NCCS will announce the further process of selection such as document verification, the final list of selected candidates, personal interviews based on the job role.

NOTE: For a few selected roles, NCCS conducts an online interview as a final selection process. Shortlisted candidate's information will be announced on the company’s website.

The latest and active job opening in the staffing category is the Medical Consultant. 

Academic openings include Ph.D. Admissions and Project Training. We can observe that openings related to academics have been posted on a yearly basis.
