About the university
The North-Eastern Hill University got established in the year 1973. The main objectives of the university shall be to spread and development of knowledge by provided that instructional and research amenities in such divisions of education as it may think fit; to pay exceptional consideration towards the development of the social and financial circumstances and wellbeing of the people of the hill regions of the North-Eastern area, and, in particular, their knowledgeable, educational and cultural progression.
Currently, there are 53 undergraduate institutes and colleges that are affiliated with NEHU, which includes 8 professional colleges. This university was also selected for the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Chair for study into defensive discrimination. Numerous distinct associates of the faculty have been privileged with the maximum academic awards in India. Most of their faculty are also involved in several joint research projects with colleges in India and also other countries of Europe and Asia. Application Procedure
The mode of application and also selection process depends and varies according to the position or the job role. For applying to any of the posts released by the AMPRI, interested candidates can visit the recruitment page of their official website. Look for the notification of the job you are interested in applying for. Check for all the details given there clearly, look for the eligibility criteria like age limit, basic education qualifications, number of vacancies, whether it is a contractual basis or a permanent job, application fee if applicable, the last date for submitting your application form, etc. Once you make sure that you meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned by them, you can start with your application procedure. For JRF’s, SRF’s and such positions expect the candidates to send their CV and further required documents to the email id given in their notification.
For some positions, they recruit via email and post. There would be an application form attached along with the notification. Take a print out of the form, fill it duly with all the details asked. Attach other supporting documents asked in the notification and then courier it to their given postal address.
Mode of Recruitment
The mode of recruitment for these positions would be through interviews. They initially screen the applications received and then they call the short listed candidates to attend the interview.

Various positions notified by NEHU
This university recruits for several positions for both teaching and non-teaching positions. For teaching positions they recruit for guest faculties, assistant or associate professors, professor, etc. for non teaching positions they notify for several positions such as office staff, chief executive officer, cleaning staff, etc. All the research positions are purely on a temporary basis.
