About the institute
NIB stands for The National Institute of Biologicals and this institute is one of the top autonomous Institute under the managerial control of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, under the government of India involved in the quality control evaluation of several biological products such as blood products, sera, vaccines, blood reagents, Immuno-diagnostic kits etc. that are made and imported to India. Their campus is spread in an area of 18.4 acres of land which consists of several buildings and they have already been built in their campus. The institute was set up during the year 1992 as a society under the Societies Registration Act of the year 1860, for Quality Control of indigenously made and imported biological products. At first, the monetary aid in starting up of this institute and was supported by USAID and OECF - Japan.
The main mandate of this institute is to develop and authenticate values for quality control testing actions for biologicals and immunobiological products. They also improve linkages with other global and national institutions and keep abreast through universal scientific research and technological growths in manufacturing and quality regulator of biologicals and immunobiologicals with a vision to advising on the aptness of their implementation.
Application Procedure
Interested and eligible candidates are advised to go through the official notification carefully on their official website. Details about the vacancies and their detailed notification would be given there. Check for all the eligibility criteria a candidate has to possess for that particular position such as basic education qualification required, maximum age limit, number of positions vacant, whether the job is on a contractual or permanent basis, the deadline for submitting your application form, etc. Make sure that all the points mentioned in their notification verified before starting with your application. Follow the instructions carefully given in their notification. . For some positions, the filled-in printout of the downloaded application form along with required enclosures shall be sent by Registered Post to their address before the deadline given in their notification. The incomplete application without prescribed/required enclosures and / or received after the due date / not submitted in the prescribed format will be summarily rejected and no further communication/ representation in this regard will be entertained.
In other cases they might ask the candidates to send their application forms via email. The deadlines and the application mode would be mentioned in their official notification.
Mode of Recruitment
The mode of recruitment generally depends upon the position. In some cases they recruit the candidates directly considering several factors such as educational qualification, merit list, their work experience, etc. In some cases, they initially conduct a written test. The candidates clearing the written test would get an opportunity to attend the face to face interview. The job would be given based on the performance of the candidate in that written test and the interview.
