About the Institute

National Institute of Technology Trichy is one among the thirty one other NIT’s recognized by the govt of India. At present, this institute is an independent co-educational scientific institute, with ten undergraduate and 28 post-graduate programs. They also has a management and an architecture specilizations. It is situated in Thuvakudi on the national highway, at around seventeen kms from Trichy Railway station.

This institute is located in the centre of Tamil Nadu on the banks of the Cauvery river. This was started as a joint and co-operative venture between the government of India and the state government of Tamil Nadu in the year 1964 with an aim to providing to the needs of man-power in technology for India and globally.

Application procedure

Interested candidates can visit their official website and go to the vacancies or recruitment page. Go through the notification clearly and check for all the details given there. Make sure you possess all the eligibility conditions given in their notification. The mode of application changes depending on the vacancy. For some positions they expect the candidates to register online and fill up their application form. In other cases, like apprentice positions or some other jobs, the mode of application is via courier or post. They provide an application form along with their official notification. The candidate has to download the application form, fill it and then enclose self attested photocopies of documents and certificates that talk about qualification, experience, age proof, training, etc. All these have to be enclosed and send to the address they mentioned in the notification. The application form and those supporting documents have to reach them before the deadline. They do not entertain any applications that reach after the deadline or incomplete applications, and also applications from candidates not fulfilling the given conditions.

Mode of selection

Mode of selection shall be through written test followed by face to face interview. Written Test shall be held in the form of multiple choice questions. Successful candidates in written test shall further go for interview. Final selection of the candidates in each seat will be made after verification of documents. Shortlisted candidate has to attend the document verification on the date & time at the venue, intimated by the institute.
