About the company:

The full form of NVS is Navodaya Vidya Scheme. These residential schools are established in the year 1986, envisaged by the National Policy on Education.

The vision of NVS is to provide a better quality contemporary education, including a strong mixture of culture, awareness of the environment, inculcation of ethics and social values, physical education and adventure activities to the interested and talented children. They are nurturing rural talent and predominantly, they select students from rural areas without any regard to the social and economic conditions of their families.

The objectives of NVS are to establish, maintain, control, endow and manage the national wide schools they have, and to do all things and acts that are necessary for the promotion and conduction of such schools. They aim to provide the best modern education to rural background students. They provide suitable facilities for instruction in English and Hindi medium all over the country. They offer a common curriculum to ensure the same standards and to help them understand the composite and common heritage of our people. For the residence of students of NVS they develop, establish, maintain and manage hostels.

They have eight regional offices in Bhopal, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Pune, Shillong.

Admission into these prestigious schools as a student can be achieved based on a selection examination, which is conducted and designed by the CBSE. This test is called the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test. This exam is designed in a way to ensure that the children from the rural background would be able to compete without facing any disadvantage. The selected students from rural areas get admission to schools free of cost, and even their stay would be free. Advertisement is well done through various media to ensure proper publicity, and in a way, it can reach such rural areas. The advertising is done through local newspapers, pamphlets, all India radio and through visits to the local schools.

Kindly check for all the eligibility criteria like education qualification, age criteria, experience if expected, etc., before proceeding further. Selection process:

For most of the job roles, the mode of selection is through written test or trade test. The final job offer is based on the result of the written test. For some posts, there might be a face to face interview.

Job types/roles in NVS:

They have many branches all over the country. So, they release vacancies for various job roles and posts like project associates, technical assistants, teachers for all the subjects, general managers for construction on a deputation basis, staff nurse mostly females, catering assistants, lower division clerks, a joint commissioner on deputation, assistant commissioner, assistant and computer operator, principals, PGTs, the executive engineer on deputation basis in level 11, etc. Various non-teaching posts like audit assistant, Hindi translator, stenographer, clerks, attenders, etc.
