About the company:
OPSC stands for Orissa Public Service Commission. The first public service commission in Orissa was established in October of 1926. Later OPSC was formed during 1949 April after it got bifurcated from then Bihar and Odisha joint public service commission. Their vision is based on the functions and ideals that are laid down in the Constitution of India, they endeavor to support the capabilities of human resources to the government of Orissa through absolute fairness, transparency and by using the advanced technology platform and the best practices that are out there in the world. OPSC endeavors to supply the best human resources in civil services or posts in selected group B and group A services. They strive to provide various services of constitutional advice and concurrence in all areas of discipline and promotion of government servants that are specified by the government. They ensure the amendment and framing of recruitment rules for different posts and services under the government of Odisha. They also regulate all the complaints relating to arrears and pensions of government servants. They consider any matter that is referred by the governor of their state as an appropriate one and strive to do that.
Application Procedure:
Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for the posts released by Orissa Public Service Commission posts. Interested candidates are suggested to go through the notification carefully on OPSC’s official website. Please check for all the eligibility criteria mentioned in their notification such as education qualification required for that particular post, age limit, relevant work experience, etc. Keep all these points verified before starting with your application. Selection process:
For most of the posts advertised by them, there would be a preliminary test, mains test and a face to face interview. Eligible applicants would be notified through their registered email id to attend the preliminary test initially. After clearing the preliminary exam, they would be eligible to attempt the mains exam. Candidates clearing the mains exam would get a chance to attend the interview. The final job offer is based on their performance during the interview. Deserving candidates get the job successfully after clearing the document verification.
