About the Company
The full form of PAU is Punjab Agricultural University. This is established in the year 1962 to serve their state of Punjab. This university was inaugurated by then prime minister Jawahar Lal Nehru, of our country on July of 1963. This university has played a major role in increasing of food production in the state of Punjab and then ushering in an era of Green Revolution of our country. They have even made notable contributions to increase livestock and poultry production in Punjab state. In the year 1995, this was adjudged as the best agricultural university of India.
This university has become a pioneer state agricultural university of our country for its education, extension and research in India. The PAU has played an essential role in making the country self sufficient in food grain manufacturing and this is recognised as the mother of green revolution.
This university has recommended over 809 hybrids and varieties of various crops and in that 173 has been released in national level. They have also manufactured the first hybrid grain pearl millet in the globe. They have also research scientists and made the crop cultivation possible in the non-conventional seasons like moong, sugarcane, mash, maize and groundnut.
Application Procedure
For all the notifications released by Punjab Agricultural University, the mode of application is through post or courier or by hand. There would be an application form along with their official notification. The candidate has to download the application form, fill it and then enclose self attested photocopies of documents and certificates that talk about qualification, experience, age proof, training, etc. All these have to be enclosed and send to the address they mentioned in the notification. The application form and those supporting documents have to reach them before the deadline. They would not entertain any applications that reach after the deadline. So make sure your application reaches them well before the deadline.
Selection process:
Most of the non-teaching positions released by PAU are on a temporary basis, they initially recruit the candidates on a short term or temporary contractual basis and they extend the duration of the job if the performance of the candidate is satisfactory. But they are not permanent posts.
For initial screening, the shortlisting of the candidates is done based on the merit list. Candidates will get placed only if the applicants qualify for all the necessary requirements mentioned in the advertisement. The mode of selection for almost all the posts is through face to face interviews. The mode of recruitment mainly depends on the job role and the same details would be mentioned in their notification.
For some of the posts, they release notifications for the walk in mode of interviews. In that case, the selection is made based on the performance during the interview.

Different notifications that are released by PAU are tractor operator, junior draftsman, jeep or car operator, junior research fellow, senior research fellow, field helper, junior lab helper, scouts, senior field or lab helper, research fellows, tractor mechanic cum operator, clerks, registrar, extension scientist, plant virologist, botanist, assistant professors, associate professor, professor, etc.
