About the University
Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth was established in the October of 1969. Their head quarters is situated at Akola. This is an agricultural university and that was named after the memorable son of Vidarbha Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh, who was then the Minister for Agriculture, Government of India. The dominion of this university is ranging over the eleven districts of Vidarbha. According to the University Act of the year 1983, the university is commended with the answerability of agricultural research, education, and extension education sideways with breeder and foundation seed agenda.
The instructional programmes at main campus are spread over in five colleges, those are College of Agriculture, Post Graduate Institute, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, College of Horticulture, College of Forestry. At this campus four degree programmes namely B.Sc. Agriculture, two Master’s Degree Programmes viz. M.Sc. in agriculture, B.Sc. in Horticulture, B.Sc. in Forestry and B.Tech. in agriculture Engineering, and M.Tech. in Agriculture Engineering and Doctoral Degree Programmes in the faculties of Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering are offered.
In addition to these branches there also have 2 affiliated grant-in aid colleges and fourteen private non-grant-in-aid colleges under the authority of this University.
A fundamental research station is located at the central campus that conveys to the need of research responsibilities originated by crop scientists of the principle crops of the region are Oilseeds, Sorghum, Cotton and Pulses.
Application Procedure and mode of selection
The mode of application and also selection process differs depending upon the position or the job role. Make sure you are an eligible candidate and possess all the eligibility conditions mentioned in their advertisement such as educational qualification required, work experience and number of years, maximum age limit, any reservations if applicable, etc.
The mode of recruitment for most of the positions notified by them is via walk in interviews. The application form has to be filled completely, carry the filled up application form and also print outs of required documents. Then carry all the documents while you go for the interview. They do not accept any incomplete applications and also applications from candidates do not fulfilling the eligibility conditions.
