PWRMDC stands for Punjab Water Resources Management and Development Corporation. This was earlier known as Punjab State Tubewell Corporation. This started in the year 1970 and the main aim of PWRMDC is to utilize the ground water resources in their state and then providing irrigation facilities to the farmers by setting up of deep tubewells in the most backward kandi area of Punjab because it was not getting any other means of irrigation due to difficult underground geological formations and deep water table. They started the corporation to give further boost to the agricultural production in Punjab.

The main objectives of them is to promote schemes for improvement, execution and management of medium, minor and major irrigation projects of different enterprises in whose opinion of the company are likely to advance or promote the development of irrigation in Punjab state. They are also trying to promote the management and construction of canal, lining of canals, remodelling of existing canal system. PWEMDC is promoting research and development of irrigations structures, computerization and creation of data bank. They also direct the control, management and supervision of any association, company or concern by nominating supervisors, advisors, controllers and to collaborate with any association or company that is formed for any business or manufacturing that comes under the objects of the company. They engage in the manufacturing, processing and sales of tubewell equipment, spare parts, accessories, plants or any other industrial products and commercial products.

Application Procedure and selection procedure for PWRMDC:

Interested people are suggested to go to the recruitment page on their official website and check for the official notification. Go through the details mentioned there clearly, check for all the eligibility criteria given by them like essential education qualification and the specialization they are looking for, maximum age limit and exemptions, work experience required and the field it should be in, etc. Click at new registration button, enter email id and password. An OTP would be sent to registered email id and phone number. Login using that registered email id and password. Once you login there would be a link to start your application process. Fill up all the details like personal information, address, educational details, etc. Upload all the necessary documents like passport size photo, signature, mark lists, etc. Verify all your details before submitting your application form. Select the post that has to be applied. Application fee would be charged as per your sub category and category. Application fee has to be paid via online or through HDFC bank challan. Print receipt and application form. After successful fee payment, fee receipt and application form can be downloaded.
