About the Centre

The full form of RCB is Regional Centre for Biotechnology. This is an academic institution that has been established by the department of biotechnology, under the aid and guidance of government of India. They partnered with regional and global programmes of UNESCO. The main focus of this centre is to deliver global level training, education and they also conduct innovative research at the interface of several disciplines in order to create high quality human resource in both interdisciplinary and disciplinary fields of biotechnology. They aim to achieve this in an international level. This centre even got recognised as an Institution of national importance by the parliament of India during the year 2016. This centre is being regarded as category II centre because of their guidelines and principles for the functioning of UNESCO Centres and Institutes.

The main vision of this RCB is to offer a platform for education, training and R and D in the field of biotechnology, at the interface of several disciplines. The programmes are designed in a way to provide opportunities for their students to engage in multi disciplinary research. The primary mission of this centre is to produce human resource tailored to drive innovation in the areas of biotechnology and to fill the talent gap in deficient areas.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates are advised to go through the official notification carefully on their official website. Mode of Recruitment

Initially, they screen the candidates based on the received applications. They inform the shortlisted candidates to come and attend the interview via their registered email id or contact number. Selection for most of the positions will be made strictly on the basis of merit, experience, qualification and performance in the interview. They directly reject the applications from candidates that do not meet the eligibility given by them. For some non technical positions they might open for walk in mode of interviews, where the jobs are given based on the performance during that interview.
