The full-form of RDPR is Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department. Their vision is to bring overall rural development through sustainable and inclusive empowerment of Panchayath Raj Institutions. Their mission is to empower rural people and make them participate in rural development programmes to develop their quality of life. RDPR is accountable for the efficient functioning of Panchayath Raj Institutions. They provide infrastructure and socio-economic growth opportunities for the poor people in rural areas. They are giving wage employment under MGNREGA, thereby creating a livelihood for rural regions. They deliver training, provide loans and employment to rural youth under NRLM.
Their objective is to alleviate poverty by creating wage employment and self-employment. They develop the rural households' livelihood by guaranteeing 100 days of wage employment every year. They strive to provide adequate and safe drinking water to all the rural habitations. They try to improve rural sanitation and electricity conditions. They ensure that people get their basic amenities without any barriers. RPDR tries to empower Panchayat Raj Institutions. They help in developing vibrant village communities with a sustainable and in depth knowledge of integrated rural development.

Selection process:
For most of the jobs, the selection process is through interviews. They shortlist the candidates based on their CV and the cover letter. The shortlisted candidates will be informed through email, so keep checking your emails. For some of the posts, they release a notification for walk in interviews. So, for such jobs, mark the date, time, and venue in check. Shortlisted candidates are expected to reach the interview venue on the specified date at their own expense. No TA/DA would be provided to the candidates for attending the interview.
Job types/roles in RDPR:
Most of the jobs in RDPR are on a contractual basis or outsource basis. So the appointment is given purely on a temporary note for a year. On satisfactory performance, the job will be extended to one more year. If your performance is not up to the mark, they will terminate the contract with a one month notice period.
