The Sainik School Rewari is situated in Haryana, India. This is one of the 33 Sainik schools that are running currently in our country. Current principal is col. Soumyabatra dhar. The cadets of Sainik schools are called as Vikramadityans. This school was inaugurated in the year 2008 by Shri AK Antony, the former honourable Raksha mantri. The propsed location of this school is in the district of Rewari of Haryana at a village Gothra Tappa Khori. This village is situated at a distance of 15 kms from Rewari in the south west direction. Currently, the school is functioning from a old government girls college, sector 4 of Rewari. For temporary use, the cadets are using the state government’s youth hostel and Rao Tula Ram Stadium for residential purpose.

The scheme to set up Sainik schools was brought in 1961 with their main aim of making boys bodily, academically and mentally for access into the National Defence Academy.
