About the company:

The full-form of SGPGIMS is Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences. This is a medical Institute under the care of the State Legislature Act. This college is established in 1983, taking after the name of Sanjay Gandhi. It was established in the year 1983 and located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This institute's residential campus has an area of 550 acres at Raebareli road, situated at 15kms from the central city of Lucknow.

SCPGI institute hospital is located nearly 1km from the college's main gate. The hospital mostly works on an appointment system. But the hospital charges are highly subsidized for treatment, medications, etc. The prices are almost 10% to 25% lesser as compared to the corporate and private hospitals. Patients will be provided with medicines, surgical material and other consumables at a highly subsidized cost, about 40% less than the MRP. They have adequate facilities for patients and their attendants.

The degrees offered by this institute are of their own, recognized by the Medical Council of India. They deliver super specialty teaching, tertiary medical care, training and research. They mainly offer DM, MCh, MD, Ph.D., senior residency, postdoctoral certificate courses, postdoctoral fellowships, and other degree courses in paramedical like B.Sc. Nursing and other nursing courses. They take around 40 students every year from all over India through an entrance exam.

Application Procedure:

Detailed advertisement of each post is given on their official site. Check for the official notification on their website, and go through all the prerequisites required such as education qualifications, age limit, work experience in the related field, application deadlines, number of posts, interview procedure, etc.

For most of the posts, there is no written test. They will either shortlist candidates directly based on the merit list for face to face interview. In other cases, they mention a walk in interview, so you do not need to apply for it. If you fulfill all the requirements mentioned in the advertisement, you can directly attend the interview on the specified date.

Pay attention to whether the posts are for temporary, contractual, or permanent jobs. Since most of the vacancies in SGPGIMS are on a temporary basis, please pay attention to them while applying.

Selection process:

They do not keep a written test to applied candidates as mentioned above. They will call candidates based on the merit list for interviews. Based on the interview performance, they offer the job to the candidates. In other cases, you are supposed to attend the interview on the scheduled walk-in interview date with the required documents. Based on your performance that day, you will be offered the job.
