The mandate of this university is to impart education in diverse branches of study such as Agriculture, Fisheries, Environmental Science, Sericulture, Horticulture, Home Science, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry and other allied sciences. They also carry out strategic and applied research in the field of agriculture and other similar sciences with importance on temperate and cold arid agriculture. They also strive for distribution of such sciences and technologies to the village areas and hill farming public over extension services.

Application Procedure and Mode of Recruitment

Application has to be written on the plain paper with full bio-data along with attested testimonials, are expected to be sent to their postal address mentioned in the notification. The appointment for most of the positions mainly research positions, will be temporary and co-terminus with the project and the appointees shall have no claim for absorption. The eligible candidates will be informed for interview through mail or telephonically. The candidates must bring original and attested copies of all documents along with the bio-data at time of interview. No travelling allowance or dining allowance will be paid for attending the interview. For some positions where they engage candidates through walk in interviews need not send any application form prior to the interview. They do not entertain applications from the candidates do not fulfilling the eligibility criteria. So make sure you possess all the eligibility given by them before proceeding with your application process.

In the case of walk-in interviews, Candidates possessing requisite qualification and experience shall present themselves, for the interview before the selection committee, along with original documents, testimonials, experience certificates, CV, publications etc.
